Use verified email and SMS contacts
Destination verification and recipient consent are required.
External email and SMS delivery is limited to destinations and contacts whose identity and consent have been verified. A phone number or email appearing in a request is not sufficient authorization to send.
Use a saved, recognizable contact alias where supported. An ambiguous recipient must be clarified. Unverified contacts may need the service’s consent workflow before content can be delivered.
Recipients can withdraw consent or opt out. Do not use another destination, account or repeated request to bypass an opt-out. Outside Access does not permit spam, harassment or deceptive outreach.
Email, SMS and Securus are separate services with separate delivery states. A successful request or accepted queue entry does not prove every channel delivered a message.
External email and SMS require a verified destination and the recipient's consent. Including an address or number is not permission to send. Clarify ambiguous recipients. SMS messages identify the resident and this service and are one-way: the sending number is not monitored for conversational replies. Recipients can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help; message and data rates may apply. Do not bypass an opt-out with another account or destination. Current signup offers a separate SMS opt-in choice.
